Sales by Customer Type

Sales by Customer Type

The Sales by Customer Report offers you a more detailed breakdown of the information visible in the chart on the Overview report. Here we can see your Buyers split by their Customer Types; New, Existing and Anonymous.

The report allows you to see the number of Buyers in each cohort, the Buyer Rate for Existing customers, Orders, Units Sold and Sales revenue for each period. Like all data grids, you can customise your experience to add and remove columns for your analysis. It's possible to include columns to segment the results to highlight the customers regularly purchasing via a subscription.

We can also look at the high-level purchasing characteristics of each segment by including columns for Average Basket Size, Average Basket Value and Averages Orders per Buyer.

Filter

Filtering the results on the Sales by Customer Type screen is extremely easy. Start by clicking on the orange Filters button above the table to open a modal window. Next, you can refine the view based on the modifying Customer Acquisition Date or the Customer Type controls.

Setting filters for the Customer Acquisition Start Date or Customer Acquisition End Date allows you to lock the view to a particular epoch and monitor how those New-to-Brand customers and their enduring habits. Using these filters empowers you to answer questions such as, What is the current Buyer Rate for Customers acquired during Black Friday last year?
